Alcheringa is a time for letting your hair down, shaking your booty and losing yourself to the magical spirit of the atmosphere around you!

This festival is held in early February each year, when the wind bears the fragrance of fresh blossoms and Northeast India awakens to the beauty of a new spring.

The word Alcheringa has been taken from an Australian aboriginal language. It stands for "Dream Time", which is the very essence of this festival.
